Unity Through Knowledge - 1993

1993. Unity Through Knowledge T-shirt. What are we looking at? I'm not really sure. Has some use of religious terminology and iconology but remains relatively unspecific. Let me know if you recognise this!

Pacific Atoll Divers Cap

A cap from the Pacific Atoll Divers (club?).
I have seen some more bits around from PAD like a tshirt and a patch that I have not been able to acquire. I'm not sure if it was specific to Johnston Island or if other atolls or areas of the Pacific were also involved with it. I'm not sure if it was an official organised group, or a recreational title made up by some during their time on Johnston. Being on the ocean was a big part of recreation during stays on Johnston Island; diving, fishing, etc.

Hoping to find more information.

Community Chapel T-Shirt

Johnston Island Community Chapel T-shirt. Suspected 80's/90's era.
Little context known, any more information would be greatly appreciated.
Missing inner neck label which makes dating more difficult.

Johnston Atoll 1960's USN Souvenir T-Shirt

This was the first item I bought, and so rightfully should be the first one to be posted on here.
It was also how I discovered Johnston Atoll and started to uncover some of its history.
I came across this for sale when researching into the US' nuclear weapon tests that were held in the pacific ocean, utilising atolls like Johnston Atoll due to their remoteness. The person listing the t-shirt was not selling it for a lot of money, and had nothing to say about it besides labelling it 'USN' and presuming the dating was from the sixties.
Likely accurate, or potentially the early seventies, based on the Hanes label tag on the inner neck.

Being such a good looking t-shirt, I became fascinated with what this 'Johnston Atoll' was and why their might be a t-shirt after it. Finding this has lead me to today and the running of this site.

I know that Matt @ Klaxon Howl also has / has had one of these too.
